Job Description - Personal Assistant to the director

I need someone who can travel and help with writing for the site.

The job would include

- Helping organize the suicidal teen support group.

- Helping edit, document and post information about teen suicide (for example mail from teens)

- Helping edit and post pictures for the site

- Writing articles about the eqi.org ideas, beliefs, theories.

- Helping get articles published on other websites

- Sending out emails to teachers, counselors, psychologists to tell them about teen suicide and self-harm

- Looking for organizations (both youth and adult) to support this work

- Translating articles into other languages and finding volunteer translators

- Organizing volunteers


The ideal person would

- Be free to travel

- Have had experience with depression as a teenager.

- Be under 25 years old.

- Be able to speak more than one language

- Be familiar with the eqi.org writing and beliefs, and feel supportive of its ideas

- Be a good listener


Payment will be based on your personal need and may include the following:

- All basic travel expenses. (see below)

- A small amount of money for your personal expenses.

By "all basic travel expenses" I mean hotels, hostels, rented rooms etc., food, and transportation.

Other payment will be based on your needs and is open to discussion. My desire would be for you to be able to save a small amount of money each month, around 100 US dollars, for example. It isn't my desire for you to use up all your savings (if you have any!). Nor is it my desire that you be penniless and homeless when you stop working in this position.

In Europe through Nov 18.

So far. since August I have been in Spain, France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, England and Estonia. Latvia, Lithunia, Poland, Germany, Belgium

I am currently in Belgium as of October 17

 

 

I am trying to organize my thoughts more on just how this would work.

Here are some of those thoughts...

We would travel together some of the time. Some of the time we would travel separately. Or one of us might stay in one place for a while while the other travels. The PA will keep doing their daily work in either case. Daily work will include

- sending out emails to

- making travel plans, contacts on couchsurfing, making bookings in hostels, etc.
